THE BEIJING RUNNER 疾速北京 An indie- developed mobile game –entirely based in Beijing!! 基于北京的独立设计手机游戏 Solo – developed during the months of the pandemic. More than a game – it is a celebration of wonderful Beijing, its cityscape and people portrayed in a minimalistic and 2d-pixel art style. 疫情期间的几个月我独立开放了这款游戏，这不仅仅是一款游戏，还是对美妙的北京的一种致敬，北京的城市景观和典型人物都在游戏中用2D像素的方式进行了呈现。 
The goal of the game is simple: try to run as far as possible! And while running, collect the currency of the game (not coins, but Jiaozi. because we love Jiaozi). You will need them to unlock more backgrounds (do you want to run in the 798? In HouHai lake?), more playable characters and some extra stuff, like a Beijinger dog called Dudu, or your brand new LaoBeijinger certificate.. 游戏规则非常简单：跑得越快越好！在跑动的过程中，尽量收集更多的游戏货币（不是金币，而是饺子，毕竟谁不爱饺子呢？）你将会用到它们来解锁更多的场景（想不想去798？后海呢？）更多的操纵人物和一些其他的道具，比如一只叫嘟嘟的京巴儿狗，或者崭新的老北京证书。 
Are you ready? Ok then 3,2,1… go! Watch out for that crazy Laowai on an electric scooter! And that lady with Chuers, she is walking towards you! You will lose some health if she hits you. Hold on a second, what is that thing in the air? A flying Kaoya? Let’s collect it: I heard it gives you temporary invincibility. You got the idea. 准备好了吗？那么3,2,1…跑！注意那个骑电动车的老外！还有那个拿着串儿的女士，她正冲你走来，如果被她撞到可是要降低健康值的。等一下，空中的那个是什么？一只漂浮的烤鸭?快去拿到它，听说可以让你获得短暂免疫。这就是大概的玩法儿。 
The BEIJING RUNNER will be bilingual (English and Chinese) and equally portrays Chinese and foreign characters in the hope of raising some good laughs and irony from both sides.. a statement of friendship! 疾速北京将会是双语游戏（英文和中文），并同时刻画出一些中国人和老外的形象，希望能够让你会心一笑或者读懂其中的玩笑，这也是表达友谊的一种形式！ 
As the developer, and also a musician, the game is made in the hope of helping the local music scene. The BEIJING RUNNER will feature an amazing soundtrack, contributed by local indie bands from the scene in Beijing. Players will be able to select their favorite tune as background music during play, or just to listen. 作为开放者和一名音乐人，同时也怀着支持本地音乐圈子的美好希望，疾速北京将会推出精彩的原声音乐，由北京本地的独立乐队所创作。玩家也可以在游戏中选择他们最喜欢的背景音乐，或只是单纯的聆听。 
The BEIJING RUNNER will be free to download, and not meant to be profit oriented. Few ads or the possibility to pay for extra content will be included in the hope to cover production costs. Extra merchandise, such as t-shirts and bags, are on their way. 疾速北京将会开放免费下载，并不为盈利。有限的广告或者购买额外道具的费用将用来覆盖制作成本，其他的游戏周边如T恤等也即将推出。 Now run to get the game!
